Targa West - 2005
WA joins the growing band of regions with their own version of tarmac rallying. This well run event held over four days will be televised on Channel Ten and TV3 in January and looks set to become part of Perth's calendar of motor racing. Champion Rally driver Ross Dunkerton wins this inaugural event from some stiff competition to take out his first Targa event and his 101 st competitive win spanning 40 years.
